Stapleford were incredibly accommodating and friendly from start to finish.
I was a MEIR student who stayed at the newly constructed accommodation. It was a very nice place to be waiting for flyable weather and the shared living area was a great place to hang out with the flat mates who were mostly studying their ATPLs.
Straight off the bat they were very flexible as, due to no fault of my own, I turned up a day late. The lessons were easily rearranged for me to start training ASAP.
The Da42 simulators at Stapleford are like any other Da42 simulator and I never had an issue with availability. They were very kind and allowed me to use the simulators free of charge whenever I wanted which gave me plenty of time to practice flights and the test. I am not saying they would do this for everyone but I was very fortunate to be given this opportunity.
Shortly after being declared ready to test one of my family members passed away. Due to where I live it made sense to complete the test before returning home. Lisa was incredibly understanding of the situation and made sure my test was booked within a few days. Everyone during that time were incredibly helpful to make sure I had the best chance of passing the test even considering the circumstances.
I never felt like a number while at Stapleford and felt like the training was tailored to what I required. That would have been mainly down to my instructor Stuart. I could not of asked for a better instructor as he was a great laugh and an even better instructor.
Don’t get me wrong I wasn't perfect all the time but that’s aviation! Aircraft go tech and weather cancelations cause knock on effects. But I would recommend Stapleford to anyone needing to complete a MEIR.
