I completed my PPL at Stapleford and am currently using their aircraft for hour building, ahead of completing the CPL ME IR also at Stapleford.
The quality of instruction I have found to be excellent with the instructors striving to deliver the best instruction possible and getting the best out of the students. It’s a busy flight school with high demand for instructors and aircraft but I never had any problems with availability and am always able to book aircraft hire with around a week’s notice. Furthermore, the course coordinators and senior instructors are all incredibly helpful and will endeavour to assist in any training, licensing or general query you have.
The only real issues I have experienced with the school is that due to its popularity the reception area can be very busy at times and therefore it’s advisable to arrive with plenty of time in case there is a little wait. Additionally, some of the aircraft are a little older and aesthetically do look older, however the maintenance regime is very good and the reliability is generally very good.
