This Review Overall Rating
This is a family run aerodrome and has a friendly ethos. I did my ground school elsewhere and transferred to an integrated program here. The flying instructors are superb, I had only one instructor per phase which was great. Unlike my previous school I could build a relationship with my mentors and really develop my skills without the conflicting opinions of constantly changing instructors as previously experienced in my last ATO. The airspace is arguably the most difficult in the UK, this really puts your skill set in a high bracket. Many of my peers have gone on to great careers, equal with those of the better known, bigger schools. There are no published partner airlines but the big contenders seem to recruit heavily from Stapleford. I wish dearly that I’d started my fATPL here from scratch. Good school.
