You don’t need to pay the most to get the best training/job prospects. There are other schools that have equally as good equipment/aircraft/training etc. and don’t have the hefty price tag. You are simply a number in this school. Very mixed experience throughout. Advanced flight training in the most part was exceptional, the instructors are all lovely (Bruce and Russel are my favourites). However, their current scheduling system allowed you little life. Waiting until 19:00 every night to find out if you’re flying the following day is unacceptable! Especially when it’s weeks/months on end of nothing. RAF and MPL students prioritised above all other L3 students, integrated students not flying for up to 2 months, and very little priority for modular students generally. The aircraft availability was atrocious having closed their Arizona based, EGHH was absolutely overloaded! (Although Bournemouth is a lovely airport to train in). Having done an A check early in the morning and had one engine running ready for flight, it was neither acceptable or professional to then force me to give my aircraft to MPL students who’s aircraft went tech that same morning because of Airline pressures! I waited another week before my next opportunity to fly, whereas MPL students were flying daily. Otherwise, the quality of training was very good as was the student accommodation. Groundschool on the other hand, was too intense and could be better served by increasing its duration by a month or two to allow students some breathing space. There was no official support system, although some instructors would go above and beyond to help you after the end of their shift (Steve). I had to request to attend Graduation, as a modular student I got forgotten. However I was later invited to Graduation. I am successfully employed with an Airline, but through my own merit/accord, L3/CTC/CTS did not provide any assistance.

I can’t even say you get what you pay for with this school, because based on observation and experience, both modular and integrated students were unfairly treated intermittently  in view of higher business pressures such as that of the RAF and MPL contracts.
