Alan is a legend. Nothing else to say about that.
I initially heard of motion flight by word of mouth and at the time I was trying to find a simulator centre to offer me some training for my up and coming flyBMI assessment. So I plodded on over after getting in touch with Alan via email who was exceptionally quick to get back to me. Motion is located at Gatwick and in an excellent place for anyone in the south or indeed if you fly in very near the airport.
The sim is brand new and has the realistic boeing handling pack installed giving it a great hands on feel for how the aircraft would fly. I spent 3 hours there and came out feeling suitably impressed with the value for money offered for the service being provided, I went on to pass the assessment and get the job, later for the company to go under. I then had an interview with flybe to prepare for shortly after and went again back to Alan. This time he had much more information to give me as he was aware of the flybe profile or what to expect. Again 3 hours later confidence was high and allowed me to go and get the job with flybe after a strong sim performance.
Once the company collapsed in 2020 Alan very kindly offered all redundancy pilots to be able to go into his sim for 2 hours for FREE. Yes absolutely no money at all, which for any business is incredibly kind generosity, I spoke to Alan about this and he had suffered similar turmoil in his career and had no where to practice his skills so when it happened this year to TCX and Flybe he wanted to be able to provide something that wasn't provided to him previously. He has recently been teaming up with Andrew from FDW allowing prep courses to be completed in the classroom whilst a sim session happens, great idea.
Honestly for anyone who needs to hone in their skills, keep current or indeed just want to talk anything aviation Motion Flight is the place to go, sim handles great and a realistic visuals package now generates cars moving around for example on the beach at princess juliana... yes of course sometimes the sim has a wobbly often FMS related but quick re-position and good to go!
