This Review Overall Rating
Overall a very good training organisation with instructors who clearly care about helping students become the best pilots they can be. The facility is nice and clean, plus it’s well equipped with waiting areas, briefing rooms and flight planning material. The student log is very helpful in order to review a lesson and learn from feedback. ACS have a large fleet with aircraft types including the C152, PA28 and DA42. There is a large variety of equipment (eg constant speed props, retractable gear, G1000 EFIS) which helps students to learn about a multitude of aircraft systems. The aircraft are always clean and a pleasure to fly!
Positives:
- Always aircraft available
- Instructors are knowledgable and happy to help, even with the most technical questions
- Large well-maintained fleet with a great variety of equipment
- Comfortable and clean facility
Feedback:
- Would be helpful for students to be able to access videos showing how to preflight specific aircraft types/fill in the tech log etc
- It can be tricky to remember some flight manoeuvres so providing students with diagrams/briefings to keep and refer to in the future would really help with that
- Some aircraft are showing signs of ageing: broken RadNav equipment, interior wear
