I had a brilliant time training at ACS all the way from PPL to ME/IR & CPL. The facilities were excellent, and have been extended since I completed my training. The location is ideal for flight training, having a mix of controlled and uncontrolled airspace right at the doorstep. There are regular bus and train services from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee so I never had any problems travelling up and down and found the accommodation onsite to be very good. The cost of the course is extremely competitive and has to be one of the best value for money courses in the UK if not Europe.
The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, always happy to answer questions. The standards are high and there is a lot of work involved at home to get on top of everything but this set me up really well for a job in the airlines as there is a lot of work required to keep on top of everything during a type rating and flying on the line. Having a large fleet of training aircraft is a great asset as there were rarely any times there wasn't an aircraft available at a time that suited me. I had a great time training at ACS, flying all over the UK with friends made during training. The excellent instruction was key to passing all of my skills tests first time. The google sheets layout for debriefing and feedback was very helpful and meant I could review it at any time. The online booking system is very easy to use and makes booking last minute flights very easy.
I truly believe the training I received at ACS was instrumental to being successful in airline interviews and gaining employment shortly after completing my training. I would definitely recommend ACS to anybody.
