Alpha aviation is a small aviation school offering modular CPL/IR/ME training. The school has two aircraft, a DA42 NG and a DA42 TDI, as well as an Alsim DA42 FNTP II simulator. I had the opportunity to do my training with them between May and July 2023, it lasted exactly 9 weeks.
The program being well planned, I was able to progress at a good pace of work, but always accompanied in all phases by the instructors, who are also very good teachers, and very empathetic. You can talk to them anytime they are available.
Briefings are carried out before and after each flight and each simulator session. They adapt to the level of each student. All flight phases are studied in the most precise way and carried out manually in flight (SIDs, STARs, full ILS procedure, RNP, VOR, NDB, etc.) everything is done to be ready on the day of the exam.
Having a French license, I did not need to make a conversation or a transfer because the examiners are approved by the French DGAC.
Accommodation is 30 seconds from the facilities, there is a gym in the residence, shower with toilet, living room with international television, equipped kitchen, vehicle for students and thus to be able to move around, accommodation is included in the cost of training.
There is a very family atmosphere due to the small size of the school, I fully recommend it, very good training, very good level of flight at the end of the school, no regrets.
