I came to FTL to do my CB MEIR. I did the course part time and it took approx 4 months (including a break over Christmas).
The facilities are brand new and very smart. The school is kept very clean and has a very professional feel to it. The simulator is the best I've seen. It's very new and the availability is overall pretty good. The aircraft (G-ZOLA) is absolutely stunning and a pleasure to fly. If I could afford to self hire it then I would definitely.
I did the majority of my course with Prashanth Elangovan. He is one of the most impressive instructors I've seen (I have a career in aviation so I've had many!). He has a very calm collected instructional style with plenty of useful methods to help you master the trickier parts of Instrument Flying.
When I was training I found that the aircraft and instructor availability was pretty much maxed out (the great British weather didn't help). This wasn't too much of an issue for me as I was part time. But if I was a full time student I would want to be sure that I was going to have sufficient bookings before committing. Fortunately the ops and management staff are easy to contact and are upfront and honest. They genuinely will try to accommodate you where possible.
Financially speaking, FTL is very good. I did a fair bit of research before doing my MEIR and their prices are competitive. They also operate on a pay-as-you-fly basis which means no large deposits or contracts, simply pay by card after each flight.
In summary, FTL is shiny expanding school that's run by honest people that won't tell you lies to get you through the door. I found the facilities and instructors great. I would however, want to be very sure that the school could accommodate my training if I was full time, and that it's not overbooked.
