Hard work but very much worth it.

I took the MCC/JOC course. It was a 10 day intensive course.

The facilities were great. The accommodation was very nice but due to the intensity of the course there wasn’t much time to appreciate the amenities there. The facilities at the ATO were also good with a break room stocked with tea and coffee. Close proximity to a petrol station convenience store too.

I personally used the XJ simulator, fixed base. This was an excellent sim to use for the course. More recently they have also incorporated the use of a B737-800 simulator which I wish I got to use myself.

the only criticism is that it would have been nice to have the same instructor throughout. The instructors did pass information between each other and were very aware of our progress.

There were regular phone calls to check on my progress in finding employment . They were present at a pilot recruitment fair when I was offered a job interview.

I was lucky and was invited back to complete an additional JOC. This was a rare occasion though as I needed to fill a space with short notice for a drop out.

Overall excellent.
