This Review Overall Rating
The school in itself is a nice reality. This is not an academy, you don't wear a uniform, it is even difficult to reach as there is no public transport from railway station to the airfield, but once you get there you find a nice and friendly environment anyways.
I must say that this is a fast-track school, where you don't have in class theory and the objective is to let you finish your course. This is both good and bad. The point of force of the school in my opinion are the flight instructors, for the PPL they employ both young FIs and experienced FIs, while for CPL and IR they only employee experienced FIs (these are current or retired FOs or CPTs).
The management of the school, which coincides with the founders and owners, is the type that requests the airplanes to always be in the air and not on the ground. This does not allow to have pre-flight and post-flight briefings, which is a serious lack; even if FIs sometimes delay their next flight to brief/debrief you. The CEO is a nice and friendly guy, really, but management-wise he is not the best. For information though, the school is very honest, and they never try to charge you more than planned.
The airplanes are well maintained and go from fresh new to very old ones. The current fleet is as follows:
4 P2002JF (PPL, CPL)
2 AT-3 (PPL, NVFR)
2 VIPER SD-4 (PPL, CPL)
2 C172 (PPL, NVFR, SE/IR)
2 PA34 SENECA I (MEP, ME/IR, CPL)
1 C152 to added this year for SE/IR
If I had to give an overall rating to the school I would give a 7.5/10.
Good school, but only go there if you already know something about aviation. If you have zero knowledge I don't suggest it for you.
One more detail: for the time building sometimes they make you discounts if for example if you did the PPL with them and/or you sign immediately the contract for CPL/IR; but for the TB you are limited as not to refuel outside of the airport. Basically you cannot go too far and you cannot sleep out of base.
