I fully recommend BAA for A-UPRT training. After completing my APS MCC at Cambridge, I took the 45-minute drive to BAA and started my UPRT course. It actually started the day before, with a 5 hour Zoom session with Danielle, who was great. It was a fantastic prep course for understanding why UPRT exists and how it came to be.
The facilities at the airfield are quite basic but nice enough, they're also in the process of upgrading. To be honest, I didn't really mind because it was 3 hours of flying which I managed to do in one great day.
The Extra's are so fun to fly, and the training was unforgettable. UPRT is such an important aspect of flight training, and BAA provide a great way to round off your Frozen ATPL - I walked away with my certificate that day and couldn't ask for anymore! Adrian and his team were fantastic, and for £1290.00 it really is incredible value - best anywhere in the UK.
